Sensor will be there. Just not activated.

And it's only the US. It will be active in other regions.

If your O2 level REALLY does go down (anything over 90% is fine), you are over 12,000' altitude, or are in some trouble you won't need a watch to determine.
A small percentage of people with chronic, or occasionally seriously acute lung or circulatory problems may find some benefit. OTOH, they are better off with a good finger unit for a LOT less money, and better accuracy (probably).
It's a gimmick, mostly.

Must've been a placeholder prices are updated now. I would've been stoked to get the wife a titanium 42mm for $429. I was hoping for a price error like Amazon made last year posting the stainless steel 41mm for the price of an aluminum cellular model. The folks that got those lucked out, they still haven't gotten that low again.
