I had been using the jobsite saw for so long that I didn't understand what I was missing. If you are starting out with woodworking in your garage, and you are deciding between this and any jobsite saw, this is what you want. The only exception would be if you require the portability beyond your garage (this Ridgid moves easily inside your garage, but wouldn't be fun to load into a truck).
As an owner of a far larger and heavier saw, as well as other equipment of similar size to this saw, all with mobile bases, it's really not that big of a deal wheeling stuff across a solid flat surface.

I do want to note that it worked for me only when the store I chose for pick up has it in stock instead of having to wait for it to be shipped to the store (free/no delivery charge).
