I see you are one of today's 10,000 when it comes to good ultrawide monitor brands.

Yes, they are a known good monitor brand.
Be warned that these don't hold up well for fast paced gaming and movies, compared to other choices. Ghosting is a known issue with pretty much all of their displays. They're more than suitable for productivity, though.
I'm just going to chalk this up to what you are looking for in a monitor.

And I will gladly concede that this monitor is not nearly as good as a monitor that is 2x - 3x's the price. If money is no object I wouldn't purchase a lesser known name open box ultrawide.

That said ...
1. The difference between 120hz and 144hz is minor and generally imperceptible for most gamers and most games. Competitive FPS type situations for really good gamers there is likely to be a difference. But at that level you are talking about needing to finely tune every single aspect of the gaming experience (M/K, audio, etc).
2. I consider myself a gamer with a wide collection of games and types. I can report that personally, I have not seen any tearing or ghosting on my monitor. It has worked just fine. I'm pushing my 4070 Ti Super to it's limits with RDR2, Alan Wake 2, and other demanding games.
3. If you have the budget, absolutely spend more. This is a value buy. In my opinion, you can get 90% of the experience of monitors that cost 2x3's as much.

The 39" seems kind of temping but worried about the resolution being a little low

I use one of these 40" monitors, bought around Black Friday of last year, and it's been great. I will say that I have replaced it twice due to a power supply whine that began developing. It was replaced under warranty each time. I wanted a solid 5k monitor for pixel density at this size and have been pleased overall for the price.

I was very reluctant to grab the 49" VA version. I really wanted a Samsung but they were just too expensive for a monitor style I wasn't sure I would even like. Throw in that this is a brand that I knew little about, on a monitor with next to zero reviews from reputable sites. Oh ... and it was an Open Box on top of that.

I decided to take the plunge. I really couldn't be happier. The monitor looked brand new, it was easy to set-up, and has worked flawlessly for 6 months now. I'm all in now on ultrawides and am looking at the 57" Neo for my next purchase.

The only downside to this monitor, and it is purely a personal opinion, is that the curve is less aggressive than I would want.

Working on this is a dream. Things like Excel are amazing. Gaming is great. Many games don't support the aspect ratio but when they do (looking at you RDR2) it is spectacular.

Sounds like Walmart's house brand for drapes and decorative pillows but I'll take your word for it.

Can we do PBP or basically split the screen to two diff sources? I couldn't find this anywhere or does it have built in KVM to switch sources or split? Thanks!!

It's higher than the oled monitors. I would say go for it.
