I bought this a couple of months ago for $300 from Costco. it's a decent panel, but not the same as the ultrafine line. LG has just slapped that name on a lower grade panel and is selling it for less to boost sales.

Also, LG software sucks. The monitor consistently fails to detect new connection. I have to fiddle with the connection every morning for it to recognize that it has an incoming signal.

I believe they are different grades of panel.

About a year back I bought a 32UP83A-W which supposedly used the same panel as the 32UN880-B. This turned out not to be the case. With both side by side there was an obvious difference in the image quality. The 32UN880-B was sharper and clearer.

the panels are not the same. yes the stand is better but the ultrafine name also indicates a higher quality panel

Geez, that's really sneaky from LG. I'm glad I read the comments here because when I saw LG and ultrafine I thought okay, I can double up on my 32-in panel with another one for apparently a crazy good price. Not so! Thanks for the info

This monitor is the same price. I'm debating between the two as I need something dirt cheap for work.

Shit…guess I'm gonna have to return my 2x 32UP83A to get 880 model.

I have read the exact same thing you said. 880 is ultra fine and picture quality is much better, 83A is not ultra fine and good picture quality.

Agreed. I bought them both at the same time and tried them side by side. I didn't notice any difference in screen quality. I returned the ergo stand version. At $300, this was a great purchase. I ended up getting the difference refunded when it dropped to $250. This one works great for productivity which is my use case. I actually got rid of my 49" Samsung ultra wide. I don't game heavily any longer

Did you consider getting a curved monitor? I looking for am office monitor and wondering if I can get away with flat at this size.
