I sewed the pockets shortening them by about 1" on the bottom and 1" on the side and they work fine now for running. Some people may not want to hassle with sewing them though. For reference I run about 6-8 miles every other day. I have 3 pair that I use for about 10 months now and the pockets have outlasted the logo on the outside.

I was going to say that as well. Adidas putting cheap quality mesh for pocket lining is the worst thing ever. The pockets cannot hold any weight and the mesh gets stuck in zippers and eventually it'll tear in matter of hours if you put bunch of car keys.

I have Adidas shorts that I bought like 3 years ago which have so much better pocket lining. The quality on new ones has gone down the drain. I'll stick to UA or other manufacturer shorts.

It sounds like the mesh pockets are not tacked at the bottom, so your phone and other pocket contents will flop around excessively. If you aren't running with stuff in your pockets, it's probably not going to be a problem for you.

Zipper pockets work great for working in crawl spaces that require climbing on your stomach. Tools don't fall out.

I use these for running and love them. Lightweight and can move quickly. I run with an arm band to hold phone so not sure how it would perform with phone in pocket.. bought another pair!

I bought three in diff colors before and I think they are comfortable. I do run but put nothing in my pockets. Run with a band as well as I cannot run with a phone in my pocket
