I have been using SharkBites since they came out - it feels like 15+ years now. I have dozens and dozens of them since and only one has started a small leak and that was my fault. I pulled it off, re-inserted, and then absolutely no issues.

You obviously want to use the tool to measure the depth and remove any metal / plastic spirs from the pipe. That holds true for other methods as well.

Sounds like something a homeowner with no home repair experience would conclude to after scouring the Internet for how to videos. SBs are 👍

Are these as easy to install as they look? Literally just push them over a pipe?

These fittings have saved me thousands. Love my plumber, but love how much cash that stays in my wallet even more.

I service dental offices. Some offices have cpvc water&air lines, some have copper lines, some have a combination of both. I've used these SB for both water and 150-180psi air lines when emergency strikes and have had no issues. Just my 2 cents.

I used the shark bite water tank lines after my water tank broke. It would be fun to learn to solder copper pipes but was in a rush and didn't want to pay $500 to a plumber to solder 2 pipes. Just make sure to sand the end of you are using a cut end. They have a tool that measures the depth and also sand the pipe down to get rid of sharp edges
