All stores around me either $169 or $160 on clearance. Oh well, on to the next one.
They should drop in price

Yes, I'm an Electrician and do them all the time and they are about the easiest fan to retro fit and can be done in less than an hours time.
So I just call an electrician to install these? I'd like to get several replaced. What's a fair install price?

HD website says it's on clearance at my local store but it's just regular price. Deceptive. Waste of time for checking in person.

What kind of repair company did you call for that service to install the duct to the outside?

I called a few hvac companies and they told me that they don't do that.
Any contractor or handyman will do this for you, but can be costly since they name any price they want, call few to get better price.

I get quite frustrated by these kinds of posts. It seems worthless if you have 1 store only in the whole country doing this deal. We had another previously for Ridgid's universal saw stand for $125; which basically has only been found at 1-2 stores. Really wish these would be moved away from front-page when its so rarely available.
It's not an FP deal, it is an FP featured deal. Meaning Home Depot paid for it to be there. Makes people go in to the store and the hope is they buy something else as well.

Is this easy to replace without attic access?
I've replaced a handful of these. It is possible to replace from finished side of the drywall. It can be easy if the existing electrical wiring and duct work has enough slack that you can get the old unit removed and the new one hooked up below the drywall and then lift the new unit into place. However it's not a guarantee that's the case so I've done some in less than an hour and some took a few hours to make all the connections. Also many older bath fans have 3" lines whereas most of these have 4" duct outlets. They often come with a reducer to accommodate the older duct work but that can contribute to a louder noise. Great units and far superior to almost all bath fans on the market.

I replaced our builder grade master bath fan with one of these, and it was fairly straightforward, it is much better at removing air and more quiet. So this price would be a steal if can get for same.
Almost want a noisy one for the bathroom if you know what I mean tho lol.

Checked a couple of stores in northern Tampa Bay area and the stores that said limited stock online. A clerk said the few stores that said they had any stock only showed one in stock, and those were likely all bad inventory numbers. The two stores I stopped at said 1 each according to the clerk's scanner but they were nowhere to be found at the store in any of the clearance areas or the overheads near all the fans. They were put on clearance last week and were already gone at the $43 price according to one clerk who was very helpful.
