You actually don't need to do any of the Alexa stuff. Just create the Send Me a Sample account (if you don't have one already) then click the first link in the post and you can click a button to get your free sample.

My Alexa kept saying "sorry, something went wrong" after it confirmed samples were available and asked me if I would like one. So I had to login to sendmeasample.com and click the link from there to redeem it

has anybody ever gotten any free samples that people keep posting from here? I never got that coupon for free ice cream, there was some chocolate. I never got any of these

I get some of the stuff, IDK if mailman is stealing my samples or some companies decide my name is bullshit and don't send anything.

My last sampler never arrived, but pretty sure that's because the company went bankrupt. It sucks too I had chocolate milk in my next package.

Same; kept getting "something went wrong" error from Alexa and had to log into the sendmeasample site directly to get the sample.

I never had this much trouble (or any trouble) when using the Alexa skill before. But after discovering how easy it is to simply log into your sendmeasample account directly online via a web browser I don't think I will ever bother using the Alexa Skill again; thanks for the tip.

sucks that google home devices no longer do "send me a sample"; I don't want to install alexa app on my devices just for this.

My Alexa told me that there are no samples available.

But when I went to the link that akajester mentioned, I was able to order a sample. We'll see if it comes.

If you want to use the Alexa app, you don't need to remember the phrase to say. You can copy and paste it into the prompt, which I find easier for long phrases like this one.
