Does anybody with multiple children (or broad life experience with car seats) have an opinion about this model vs more expensive options? I've never seen any product spectrum vary as widely as car seats. There are car seat models on the market from even Graco that are 3-4X as expensive as this model. Is there such a thing as "too cheap" and what is my child missing out on by not spending $200+ on their car seat? If you want to put a dollar amount on it, please claim when there are dramatically diminishing returns for car seats over $XXX.XX price.

I've been thinking about this recently two since we are buy two more car seats for another car. While luxury car seats are nice and they do provide equal or greater protection for your child, how often will you clean it? How often do you go for long rides where comfort is a top priority?

The fact that I am the only one that tidies up the car (amongst other things) is the reason why I decided against spending $500 each for Nuna Ravas and will just stick to Graco seats at $180-$300 with similar safety ratings. The kids will fall asleep just fine in both so I'll save the scratch.

My personal opinion is that between the ages of 0-6 months (maybe longer), you want a seat that can detach from car and can be put into a stroller if possible. You don't want to have to wake your kid up because you need to get out of the car to do errands. IMO it's a must have. With this seat you will inevitably wake your kid up if you want to transfer them.
