We have 4 currently in our basement with no smell. The 8 we just purchased are outside in the sun with baking soda for now.

With that said, if I lived within 30 miles of one of these stores, I'd be there today - even though these don't match the other (all black) mats in my gym. I actually need a few more.

Worst part about these mats is finding ones that match your existing mats and happen to be on sale. So buy enough for your whole space all at once if you can.
