While it may be compatible with the Delta 2 Max and others, this is the older non-LFP batteries with a much shorter lifespan, less safe, etc. The D2M extra batteries were not much more on a recent Amazon sale, which I am sure will happen again in the near future (e.g. Black Friday). Personally, I would rather pay an extra $100 or so and get a much better/safer/etc LFP battery.

Edit: I see what you mean! I didn't realize this was the first version of the extra battery pack.

I can't believe they held on to these things for this long. Might be hard to move these now unless they really cut the price.

Been noticing that Costco has become a preferred outlet for dumping merchandise that brands need to quickly offload.

Ecoflow likely has a ton of these units they're trying to dump.

I, personally, would not take the safety tradeoffs for the increased power density. But it's an undeniably good price

It's not just a question of safety -- which is a huge concern and big difference between this and the Gen2 (LFP) batteries. It's also the life expectancy. These older batteries are only going to last for a few years on average, with up to 500 charge cycles before hitting 80%. The LFP batteries can go 10+ years and handle thousands of charges before dropping to 80% capacity. You might be paying a little bit more now for LFP, but you'll get more bang for your buck over the long run.

And that's not even counting that these batteries have probably been sitting in a warehouse for 3 years already decaying.

Some of us already have the original Delta series like my self that's who this is for. If you are just starting out definitely go for Delta 2 or 3 for the reasons the other posters have stated.

Probably went to zero charge sitting in the warehouse for over 3 years. You're really tossing the dice on these old products.
