Folks, with new AMD and new Intel mobile gen 2 chips releasing as we speak, the last Gen (only 6 months old actually) will be plummeting as the new chips are VASTLY improved! 95% of these posts lately are NOT deals. The competition is unlike ever before in the PC space. You will regret buying at these prices in a matter of a month or 2.

edit: this XPS 14 does have a headphone jack, and XPS 13 is the one that doesn't even have a headphone jack

Good deal for this config. Just for fun, upgrade the 16GB RAM to 64GB. Make sure you're sitting down...

I don't know who these appeal to. It's like an off brand MacBook.

....there's no trackpad on it. Just look at the images, it's not there. What the hell, Dell?

The capacitive function keys are just awful. It's actually irritating to use them. Otherwise decent laptop.

Hmm, I've always liked the XPS 13/14, but couldn't afford it. How is this compared to the ThinkPad P14s?

Is the ram and ssd user upgradeable?
Does the cpu suffer from the recent intel performance issues under Windows?
How good are the Arc graphics? (Can it play Cyberpunk?)
Can the FN buttons also adjust brightness/volume?

I see this kind of XPS when I go to best buy and it makes me sad every time. There's a trackpad-sized area of the palm rest that's touch sensitive and works like normal, which is technically fine, but every time I use it my heart wants the whole palm rest to be a giant trackpad. Instead there's just an invisible line where it stops being trackpad and starts being palm rest again. I know why they would do it that way, but it's such a boring choice

Yes,

I was really intrigued. Then I saw the keyboard, and my reaction was "what is this abomination?"

They almost had a very good design, but if I am typing on that thing, I want something better than a smartphone touch keyboard.

Off Brand??? Dell has been putting out top tier laptops for a long time, not sure I would consider them"off brand." Thankfully they don't have that hideous notch 🙌😁

The app I use only runs on Windows, but I really like the trackpads on MacBook Pros. This Dell XPS trackpad is the only one that comes close to matching them
