Seems quite nice for low data users. Personally, I use about 2GB per month.

Anyone know what towers it uses? Could be useful to me if it's Verizon or AT&t. The T-Mobile just doesn't get good perception in my house. Which is a bummer bc feel like most of the good deals use T-Mobile towers like mint mobile l

If you buy a SIM and get a T-Mobile line it's unlikely you'll be able to switch your service to ATT in the future. So best not to buy if hoping for ATT.

Read past threads about Lyca.
They will hostage your number when you try to port out.
From r e dd it:
"When you ask to port your number off Lycamobile, they follow a meticulous protocol to make it impossible. Once they get a whiff of mutiny, they will also deactivate your online account and continue billing you monthly, regardless of whether Auto-Pay is turned on. Be sure to dispute these charges with your credit card company."

You are a joker to say all these nonsense. No one keeps your number hostage and keeps billing you.

Honestly, InfiMobile is a better deal for a hundred bucks for the first year. You'll get 10gb/month and they work on Verizon towers, at the moment(switching to T-Mobile in the future, which I'm kinda excited about).

Guys. Please stay away from Lyca. The customer service of LYCA is unbelievably horrible. They will be very quick in porting the number to LYCA. After porting they dont know how to activate your data and call service. They will ask you to open a ticket to resolve the issue for which you have to wait for 48 hrs. You will eventually get frustrated and when you want to move out of LYCA that is when LYCA will say " You have to make two calls to get the account number and transfer pin number which is ridiculous. You will not be able to come out for days.

I had used Lyca mobile and was able to port out of it last year. I also had cancelled one Lyca number. It is a hassle that we have to call the customer service; but I think that is applicable to all mobile providers. The customer service reps I got were all very helpful. They will help to get you the PIN as well as help you cancel. The only thing is to call them at least 5 days before the end of the plan month to port your number out because the line has to be active until the Porting out is complete.
