I have seen this one in store and it is impressively powerful. Definitely considering it as a garage/gym/shop option for clearing out and circulating air. In-store pricing has been $69.99, which seems like a solid deal (bonus for free shipping online).

If your not tied to the Dewalt battery ecosystem, Ryobi has a couple larger battery powered fans, 2 18v (14" and 18") and a 14" 40v fan. Also I believe Ridgid and Milwaukee have an 18" battery fan as well.

I'm currently using it for exactly that. It moves a lot of air for it's size. The one warning I would give is that it does seem to produce a surprisingly targeted stream of air. This is great for when I'm working out and just need some air blowing directly on me, but if you want something that covers a wider area, you might want to look at a larger option. That said, for this price I've been very happy with it.

I use mine to blow cool air from the bottom of the basement stairs up to first floor living area. The "tunnel' of air it puts out is impressive and it's not overly loud like some floor fans. Seems very solidly built being hard plastic.
