I just bought it from Lenovo`s official website. After student discount and EXTRAFIVE coupon + small discount applied by the representative, it came to little less than this price. I hope Lenovo discounts the price as well so I can get price match.

Nice find. Is there any disadvantage to buying via ebay instead of buying directly on Lenovo website?

Ebay says seller doesn't accept returns for this item.

This will underperform and overheat because of the desktop class amd processor. Both cpu and gpu share the same cooling system on most laptops, and the excessive power use of the ryzen will starve the 4090. The battery life is also atrocious for the same reason. It doesn't have efficiency cores like Intel. That's why it is in so few laptops. They should have went with a mobile chip. You don't need that much cpu power.
Please dont talk if you have no idea what your talking about. Intel chips is not what you think it is anymore. Amd has come a long way and is super efficient in terms of power/efficiency. Intel on the other hand is hot because of the manufacturing process and couldn't keep up with amd unless higher voltage. Higher voltage result in all the Intel cpu having high risk of fail. You can look up gamers nasus for more details.

Good price for high end laptop. I bought a refurbished legion 7 for a few hundred less recently and i'm happy with it. I'm sure 5090/5080 laptop will be expensive when they first come out next year anyway.

I am not an expert but I always hear AMD I mucher more efficient heat wise. You are saying the otherwise.
Also I watched the review for this laptop and yes the cpu goes high temp. It is around 90 100 C
Which would be concerning for most of the cpu. But the guy was saying, it is weird but this cpu is design to be in the higher temp. So it is normal for this laptop

How much is a small discount from the representative? And did you just ask them through chat for a discount?

U are also oversimplifying it.

The 7945hx has slower single core but a faster multicore compared to the 14900hx.

It also has a lower tdp at full usage but a higher tdp in medium workloads and at idle.

Realistically they are pretty equal with the only exception being if u need more ram bc the 14900hx can support more and faster memory

This model is know to draw more power than the 330w adapter can provide which is terrible for your battery and barely gets 2 hours plugged in at full throttle. Definitely avoid this even if it seems like a good deal

Usually it's like an additional 5 to 10% when you chat with a representative and ask for a quote after applying all the discounts you can on the website.
