That is assuming Intel actually knows how to fix the problem. General consensus seems to be that they're just power limiting the processor (ie, killing performance) in an attempt to reduce the degradation to the point where the processor stays alive until warranty is up.

Buy the Intel 13th and 14th gens, especially the i9s, at your own risk.

Before the intel fear mongering begins again...

All you need to do is run the BIOS update for this when the system arrives and your computer will be safe from the well known Intel issues. Thats assuming Lenovo didn't already take care of it anyway.

SOLID deal

EDIT: The oxidation issues are NOT on the 14th gen, they are on the 13th gen. The Gamers Nexus video that people keep spreading even said this on it. Actually watch it. He said it was happening on 13th gen but there are no reports of it on the 14th gen. The voltage issue is the only known issue with 14th gen and can be easily fixed with the BIOS update. It is rather concerning that this post with only accurate information has more thumbs down than thumbs up. People are helping to spread misinformation.

For voltage issues correct. For improper production Incorrect. 13th and 14th gen have oxidizing problems. Refer to gamers nexus on yt

AMD 7800X3D is the best most reliable CPU for gaming. I highly recommend avoiding this and buying a pc with the 7800x3d. Also, Radeon 7900 xt or higher is better bang for your buck.

I have this exact model, beside the fact that the WiFi signal is weak, there has not been any issues (I updated bios and everything right away).
Also the case build and quality is solid A and actually looks and feels much better than what you expect from the picture.

sell the mobo and cpu and just use am4 with the proceeds; think ram should be compatible up to 6000mt/s but if you have 7800x3d then it's less dependent on ram
(this probably only applies to gamers)

All Intel CPUs are inferior products, still using 10nm lithography. Current gen Apple chips are 3nm, AMD are 4nm.

For perspective on how far behind 10nm is, the closest Nvidia GPUs are the 2000 series at 12nm, released 6 years ago.

I didn't even know they made DDR5 that slow, if this is correct.

The BIOS update only delays the inevitable cpu failure due to the fact that it undervolts the processor. The issue is still there
