I'm tempted to get one so I ride it to work from the train station... but 70lb sounds like a lot.

Any comments / reviews / concerns about this eBike and the website?

Well I don't know about the bike, but I have seen some horrible reviews on reddit about this company regarding after sales and warranty support. Also check Amazon 1 star reviews for this bike and you will know. If it works, then probably great but if you got a lemon then good luck with it.

It's a lottery. Have to pray for a good one.

I bought 2 of these @ $629 from a deal 6 months ago.
I'm very happy with the quality and performance for the price.

The bikes have been great. The only complaint I have is that the bikes are very heavy.

These ebikes use common components that you can find on eBay if anything goes wrong later, provided you can do basic maintenance.

I've had this bike for about two years in the orange color and I absolutely love it. There are tons of Facebook and Reddit groups around this particular model. It seems to have a global cult following! However, it is very very heavy and so if you're going to be folding it and putting it in the back of a pick up truck, then I would look at other models

This bike is pretty sweet for the price. Would recommend, remember to adjust the speed limiter if you want more speed. Been able to hit 28-30 MPH.

Damn, I wish they didn't charge tax. I think the Engwe site doesn't charge tax.

I'll chime in because I've put over 600 miles on one of these. It's a good bike for this price but I'd gladly pay double for the Yamaha deal. Bikes heavy, small wheels and narrow handlebars make it kinda funny handling. Riding position is also somewhat optimized for shorter people (I'm 5'9") I can't fully stretch my legs out on a full crank of the pedals which isn't ideal. Batteries fairly good and will do over 50 on a full charge if you put in some effort peddling. Battery indicator is pretty accurate also. Also 7th gear isn't tall is ghost peddling at 20. Some of this stuff can be swapped if inclined.

I purchased this bike, it is heavy and very awkward when folded, if you have to put it in a truck or if you have stairs (apartment etc), forget about it. Also had just over a 130 miles on the odometer and on one ride just stopped accelerating and I was in the middle of a 20 miles path, extremely difficult to pedal on moderate inclines with out the assist and im a strong dude who lifts at is 6"1 200+lbs. Apparently the control module was fried. Dealing with the overseas people was a nightmare, after 2 months of waiting and several exchanges, photos and videos, via email, they sent me the module. I would not recommend it. I purchased a 27.5 heybike instead, way faster on first and 2nd and can go as fast at 26 mph at my size, it can actually be carried as it's a good 15lbs lighter, it is much smoother and can actually be pedaled in case of emergency.

I bought an F6 that had a defective wheel. The customer support worked with me to try to fix the issue before eventually allowing me to return it for a full refund. The support was pretty good. I didn't expect I'd get a full refund from many of the reviews I read.

Speaking from experience, I bought a different brand e-bike and absolutely regretted it, the main reason being the weight. I had researched for months before buying.

I would suggest trying to test drive a similar bike before making the commitment.

The weight ended up being a dealbreaker for me and now I rarely use it.
