Does a cool mist have the same effect as the warm? We have a warm one that we turn on for our elderly cat but it be feeling like a tropical rain forest in our home. Embarrassment

Warm ones are much more effective imo (which is why you feel like the rainforest). Can you turn it to a lower setting? With the cools ones, the cool water rises about a foot above the humidifier and then starts falling, covering a much smaller area and getting the table wet usually.
