Then they rip you off on the pods….
Fantastic deal on the coffee maker. The pods are just too expensive IMO, but I've found great success at pressing my own with a sticker refill kit:

Get the ones with 4 parts: holder, funnel, tamper, sealer.

https://www.amazon.com/Reusable-A...K94WF?th=1

Don't just use the sealer to seal the pod, use the funnel first, then double tap it with the sealer. Pod sticker will be sturdy as hell and hold up for as long as you want it to if you double press it.

I'd also very heavily recommending getting a cheapo coffee scale; you can pick up one for like 10 or 15 bucks off of Amazon. I was amazed how much the quality and consistency improved when I started using a scale, eyeballing it doesn't work as well as you think with any reusable pod for any system.

I'm sure I could get the cost down to 30 cents per pod, but I like flavored and fancy coffees so spend around 50 cents per pressed pod. But I'm also getting flavors and mixing half calfs that Nespresso simply doesn't offer.

1. I am not sure if the water tank leaking issue still exists.
2. not impressed by the vertuo pods and they are quite expensive
3. this deal is nice, I have not seen this deal for years. I sold the frother for $35 on ebay and the coffee machine + 4 sleeves of pods for $35 locally, after 1 year of use.

Definitely stick with the Nespresso brand machines that take the original size capsules. I have had a Nespresso Citiez (spelling?) for about 15 years and it's still going strong. Makes consistently good espressos. Last year I needed a second machine for my office and tried some other machines that also take the Nespresso capsules, and those machines did not make espresso that was as good. I wish I had stayed with the Nespresso machine line!

If you drink espresso then original matching is cheaper. But if you make coffee(mug sized) then Vertuo is your only option.

I have the Pixie. All the original models have the same insides making the same brew. They just vary in size and appearance. The Citiz had a

huge footprint and the essenza has a small water tank . If you just use filtered (Brita) water..you do not have minerals that have to be flushed out. Hade the aero frother but now just use a hand frother .

Just get the Philips super automatic espresso machine from Costco for $300. Use your own beans, save money over time.

I have a Nespresso vertuo.. don't use it anymore because of the costs of pods was too much.

This is correct I got the one for 90 and all pods go in and no need to worry about sticking to the particular brand

I bought a $20 refill kit on Amazon, mostly to use my preferred Lavazza espresso. Works amazing, great coffee every time.

Grab one of these for $206 "Used - Acceptable" from Amazon Warehouse. Trust me. Every one I've ordered came looking brand new.
