...and sugar. I mean, they're natural, but I was thinking it would be more like Smuckers natural, which is just peanuts and some salt

I've settled to accepting <2% palm oil in exchange for no separation or stirring. It's just more practical.

The FDA has no specific definition or requirements for using "natural" in food. There is some guidance that the consumer expectation is that something unexpected (by a broad definition) for that food product shouldn't be present

If you have a Kroger's they sell a natural peanut butter with just peanuts and salt. It's about $2.20 which should be cheaper than Smuckers.

No Krogers in my state, but Costco is my go to...was just looking to try something else (preferably crunchy, which Costco doesn't offer). Thanks, regardless!

Very similar to the Walmart brand natural creamy, except the Walmart brand is lower in fat and sodium (and much cheaper)

Keeping it in the fridge prevents most separation if you use it every day.

Sugar + Palm Oil = WHT?! "Real" Peanut butter is made from peanuts and perhaps salt...nothing more, nothing less.

"Waaaaah! I hate stirring up the oil after it separates!" Smilie

Also, yes. Plus maybe a little salt.

Storing upside down (lid on the bottom) also helps significantly with this issue.
