Deal HistoryÂ
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
Why didn't you include a link to your $600 deal as I don't see this $600 model at BB.
It was at Walmart for the $599 price for 2 months till days ago. Based on the length of time this price was available and that slickdeal having been posted (and very popular) here, I thought everyone looking for a budget gaming laptop, knew of it. I realise I shouldn't have assumed.
It seems very likely, based on how long the deal was live (two whole months), that we should see this price again BF or soon anyway. Currently that laptop is $690 on Walmart, and hardly anyone who was aware of that deal, would buy it at $90 more, considering it wasn't a severely time limited deal, or one that required jumping through hoops, it was basically the standard price.
Even at the current price of $690, I couldn't justify paying $310 more for an upgrade to the 4070, with everything else being exactly the same (8 gb RAM difference cost $20).
My intention wasn't to TC on this deal, but point out that it wasn't really a deal given the very recent price.
Not a regular poster here, so pardon me if my intent was lost in translation (I was wondering why exactly my earlier comment was being downvoted, but I get it now).
Edit: When I wrote the above, I didn't realise that the CPU was also better by 25% (thanks to a commenter who pointed this out below) than the Walmart deal, apart from a 30% better GPU. The RAM difference isn't worth much, should be $20 to add 8gb to the Walmart one.

Thanks for the explanation and link. The $600 deal actually was a lesser CPU (8645 vs 8845), less RAM (8GB) and the lesser GPU (4050 vs 4070). As a gaming laptop, the difference between the 4050 and 4070 is huge. So is a better CPU, 2x RAM and much better GPU worth $300? I'd say it depends on how many other 4070-deals with this config cost and not comparing it to a much lesser equipped model.

I see your point. I thought I saw better deals for a 4070 laptop on SD (too lazy to link), at a $1k budget I'd personally look for a better screen (the Victus screen has been described by more than one reviewer as dull) apart from the undeniably better CPU & GPU on this one. But, point granted.
Wow, you are either super uninformed or a troll. 4070 laptop at $1000 is a steal
I'm neither, but you certainly are being judgemental, going ad hominem on a well meant post. Anyway, thanks for informing me, I had no idea that the upgrade to the 4070 was worth that much.

Here's a laptop that was available for shipping as little as 2 weeks ago, same CPU, 4070 GPU, same RAM, double the SSD, much lighter, much better screen, for $999. I'm inclined to disagree with your opinion.

Not sure that makes much sense in terms of value.

Truck nuts on an Audi.
I feel the same way about the 4070 ASUS TUF laptop that's constantly on sale at Best Buy as well. It's a shame!
