Can't really find any info on these. Any reason why and is it worth it?

Old device. it's not popular as Sonos. If you like Arcam, it is good price.

Thanks OP!

Question for the audiophiles: Can I hook this up to my Yamaha AVR and get Master Quality with Tidal? Or would I be better off spending more for a Wiim?

Answered my own question: https://www.crutchfield.com/S-VOX...o-Uno.html

The use case for this is tiny due to lack of power to drive anything but extremely efficient speakers.

Check out Arylic if this suits your fancy. Much cheaper and the quality is good as far as I can tell. Great solution for music streaming and ampification.

This is really weak, better to get a AVR with Airplay and it operates the same way.

Power wise I would not be skeptical, it really depends on how large your room is or how far you will be from the audio output.

If you crank it it will potentially sound like caca. Most people don't realize even on the craziest setups even amps that produce 500 watts operate between 1-12 watts primarily. Yes current and voltage do play a factor but I see this for some bookshelves in an office or space where there won't be very much critical listening.

But I honestly doubt someone with extremely inefficient speakers would be buying this.

I used amp with same power output as this to power KEF Q100 bookshelf speakers. More than enough power to fill my workspace. That being said, that was cheap $70 korean amp and I'll be upgrading to this to report back.

I love the idea of units like this to bring new life to older Klipsch speakers etc when you don't want to get a bulky receiver.

Deal seems to be dead though

Power isn't just for volume. It's for dynamic range without distortion.

If it's nearfield, it probably could work. If not, good luck with dynamic range.

Got it couple days ago, compared it to much beefer amp that my friend has (Hypex NC252MP) and set it to same volume. Didn't really seem like I'm losing detail (seperation), DR.
