It's a great game I just completed it. You can pick it up on CD keys for cheaper.

Bonus tip the movie went on sale for $4.99 today which I instantly picked up to watch after completing the game

Ah. I'm a physical media guy myself. I don't want to buy (lease) any more than I have to. It's why keeping physical media is so important.

Started this tonight and just cleared the first mission. It seems kinda bad, but I'm not sure how of that much was intentional. Bad voice acting and story? This is robocop! Bad movements, controls and capability, same!

Still wishing the visuals were a bit better and environment interaction could improve, but it's still probably going to be a fun 15-25hrs for any fan of the movies.
Game does open up a bit after the very long and drawn first mission. I think for those of us who watched this movie back in the day it's probably a cooler trip down memory lane than it may be for others. Even so for this money its a fun old school shooter with some rpg elements in it (kinda surprised me to find that out bc it takes the entire long ass first mission to even get access to it). It truly feels like a late 80s/early 90s game in a modern jacket, which seems fitting - language and other rough edges included.

About half way now and everything you say sounds accurate. Still not a ton of depth. Dialogue and story are laughable, but on par with the movies. Great trip down memory lane and not sure how much extra they could have really done with keeping it robocop. It does come off as maybe a reskinned/remastered ps2 game to me. I have to admit I'm enjoying his robot autism and the random acts violence/murder that many games would take more care to dance around haha. Coming straight from baldur's gate 3, the role playing aspects are a joke. Definitely more on the arcade side of things. Not necessarily bad, just know what you're getting into!
