Here's my question, and I'm dumb about this. I have landscaping lighting that I inherited from the prior owner. I am hue smart, have lots of hue stuff. Can I just cut the existing lights off this setup and splice on the hue lights, or do I actually HAVE to run the hue cables too? I know there's an extra box or something somewhere, right?
Would be really nice if the people that down vote these could say why. This appears to be a better deal than the last deal that got some up votes with only 3 lights. Is there something I'm not seeing? Sure it's not the YMMV home depot deals but *shrug*

I have both outdoor Hue and other landscape lighting. I would just run Hue wires. Outdoor landscaping can have varying voltage and wiring that won't work for everything.

I guess some people aren't seeing the coupon. This is a good deal, esp if you get the extra 5-6% using the prime CC.

Gotta run the proprietary Hue cables. But I wouldn't bother getting this. I bought a bunch of their landscape lights (including 5 of these) around 2020-2021, and they all have problems. The quality just isn't there. Everything from broken seals letting moisture into the lights to extreme UV yellowing on the plastic lenses. Pathetic product from Hue considering the price.

I can't corroborate on these Hue outdoor lights, but I have Hue front door/porch lights and was not particularly impressed with the build quality, either, since they're fairly cheap housings that just happen to have regular Hue bulbs in them.
I did recently install a Hue outdoor flood light which is basically a flat panel. That one was better -- sturdy metal housing and had some heft to it. So, Hue outdoor lights might be a mixed bag.
I've had good experience with these Lily lights from Hue. Although, it's possible my use-case is different enough where it's hard to compare to others who have issues.
I've used them exclusively as down-lights and protected them under a covered pergola. They are about 8-10 ft up in the air and attached to the sides of the beams at a 90 degree angle. They work incredibly well. Provide just enough ambient lighting or when I need more light, I can dial them up to full output.
I have another 4 I'm going to add to the setup (total of 8). In addition, they are paired with 2 Econic down lights against the house. They work so well together.
Regarding the price on this 4-pk deal... far and away the best price I've seen on them. It beats the Costco deal from early in the year at $279, and it also beats a deal from several months ago where I got my 2nd set for $267 on Amazon.
