I can't reply to everyone so hopefully anyone that gives a shit sees this. This is the cheapest zippo case that I've known you can buy for years now. Every day at Walmart for $11 in the checkout lanes. I like the brass because it patinas after a while and I can buy them for cheap when I want to try different inserts. So, I have a few of them.

As a side story: I went through the single torch and double torch butane inserts and of course I like both. But the double torch does use literally double the fuel as the single torch, so it lasts half as long. I tried them because I'm an occasional smoker and the OG lighter fuel inserts evaporate after like a week. But sometimes I'm drunk as shit so I have no depth perception and both torch inserts will burn an actual trench or hole right through my cigarette and ruin the whole sumbitch before I can tell what's happening.

All of the butane inserts lasts longer regardless but I got tired of drunkenly torchin my smokes. So, I found that the newer yellow flame butane insert lasts even longer than all the others and gives me that extra drunk moment to adjust my depth and not ruin a perfectly good overpriced American Spirit.

I typed all that just to tell the weekend smokers to just get the yellow flame butane insert and put it in this brass ass zippo case instead of any of the butane torch or plasma inserts. And I'm drunk now so you wouldn't believe how long it took me to type and correct this entire message, which Miller Lite and I obviously approve the shit out of.

Brass is germicidal. It's good to keep this or some copper/silver coins in your pocket to sanitize your hands.

Same price at Walmart, and available in store (at the checkstands) if you prefer.

Does anyone know why this particular color is half the price? It looks the same as the other colors

Half off? Seems nice. I don't remember zippos being so expensive back in the day…but again that's back in the day.

Just a guess by no chrome plating or paint finish make it a lot cheaper to produce

One thing I don't like about these, are that the fuel evaporates quickly. I rarely use mine and when I do it's always empty so I'm just wasting fuel. And now I went back to disposable lighters. And I'm looking for a refillable butane lighter.

Search for "zippo rubber gasket" on amzn/ebay to replace the original one. They'll come out to about $1/per when buying a 5pk. Fuel will not dry out in a week and you can keep an extra flint in there as well. Might last a month or so, haven't really paid attention enough to tell. Ronsonol is way cheaper than the zippo stuff, although if you're looking for convenience/reliability/portability a Bic is certainly the way to go. On top of the butane suggestions there are also plasma arc inserts (just need to charge it), would still be considerably cheaper overall to just buy a couple no-name plasma arc lighters and hope for the best.

The OG fidget toy.

Keep some polish on hand because that brass is gonna tarnish.

Thanks. What I like about the zipper is I don't have to hold any buttons down to have a flame. I guess I never really searched for all the different hippo accessories. I'll check it out tonight
