Religion is trying to maintain status quo within a community and keeping things conservative and safe
Not so much, comrade.

Exactly , don't need a 530 page book figure this one out.

Really good book. Worth a read, especially for people with close family friends whom you disagree with religiously or politically. Insightful

If you can get it all from a title, then what's the point of any book?

Quote from LamontC1445 :
Can't. As an American Christian scientist, it is both against my religion, and not a covered expense thanks to politics.
Then pray God will heal whatever ails you. If it's not healed, you've been naughty and need to pray harder.

Also, just pull yourself up by your bootstraps. Being poor is your fault.

PS, in case anyone is wondering, I'm obviously poking fun and at the sheer ridiculousness of it all.
