Back in 2019, I paid about $5.50 for this same exact item on Amazon.com. How times have changed...inflation of a deal for today's standards. Inflation is nuts!
Main problem is if it's outside water can get between the connection and short it out / cause a fire. Inside it should be fine

Fair price for 14/3 x 25. Usually you'll see 16/3 x 25 for this price. In for two. Thx OP.

Is one 50 foot cord the same as two 25 footers when plugged together? I picked sone cords up for the hurricane I didn't use and was debating and exchanging them.

I paid 36 for the 50 footer, so this is a fair bit less. nm, I see they also have a 50 footer for 19.

thx op

Depends on your application. All electrical appliances require a current and all currents are measured in amps. The higher the amps, the larger the gage of the cord due to fire safety. Usually an item with an 15 amps will require a 14 gage, and up to a 13 amps will require a 16 gage. This is just my opinion. Just read up on it for personal safety or ask a licensed electrician.

I just bought this for a mobile TV Cart. Currently have a 22" TV and Fire stick plugged into a surge protector, and then the surge protector plugged into this extension cord. I plan on getting a 43" smart TV, so I'll lose the Fire Stick, but maybe add a soundbar, so I'll still need the surge protector.

Is that safe using the 2 together? I figure the electrical load should be small, but everywhere says not to plug one into another either way because it's a safety hazard.

I would primarily use this outside, but still don't want to ruin any equipment or melt anything down. Thanks in advance.

The difference between a 50 foot and two 25 foot cords is so negligible that it can be considered for the same wattage of use.

If your outlet is a gfci, the risk of a fire or short before it trips is insanely low.

Newer house so all garage/external outlets are GFCI.. how do you prevent landscape lighting or a bug zapper in the yard from tripping garage and losing everything in garage deep freeze?
