Is $100 for one of these chairs really a good price?

I have a set of HDPE Adirondacks from Polywood and the material is fantastic. You can leave them outside year round in rain or sun and they look brand new (mine are about 2 years old now, staying outside year round in a high moisture area similar to PNW climate). Just hose them down with a garden hose and that's pretty much the only maintenance you need.

Buy once cry once. You can certainly find these in some sort of wood for cheaper, but you'll be replacing them often or constantly trying to store them away to try and make them last (and they still won't last more than a few seasons)

I bought these and already built them. Solid chairs, easy build and seems to be an incredible value at this price. Already recommended them to friends and they've ordered as well.
I received the chairs rather quickly as well. Maybe 6 days from order to delivery!
Read the reviews on other sites, well reviewed product.

Not sure if I am an outlier here but these feel like factory seconds. On multiple chairs there were screws coming in perpendicular to the pre-drilled holes blocking the hole. Pre-drilled holes did not align to other pieces and in one case they failed to pre-drill a hole on one side of the chair. Just beware that putting these together could be a challenge. I will say that once together, the chair is quality materials. I am only on my 2nd of 4 chairs to put together but not sure the extra work would be worth it for everyone.

They came and are definitely legit. They smell bad but that's normal for this kind of thing, that should get better. Ordered 4 and 4 came. Color me surprised. Was planning on disputing if needed but they came.

I don't think they're factory seconds, I think that's just the way they are. Home Depot sells the same chair and multiple reviews mention the same issues you're running into.

Same here, the pre-drilled holes weren't drilled quite all the way. But wasn't really that hard to assemble with a drill to finish out the holes and a rubber mallet for some light persuasion.

One of my chairs was missing the cupholder though.

Ever hear the saying, you get what you pay for? Ya, You can order ones off Amazon for around the same price, but they are smaller and/or made of inferior material.

Sounds like the poor people mantra. "Buy Nice or Buy Twice."

I never understood these chairs— the most uncomfortable made of human history and yet seem popular across the entire country. The design is anti-humanity

Ordered two to see how they stack up to the Polywood ones I've had for a few years.

I ordered 6. They took 8 days to deliver, and the FedEx guy wasn't super thrilled…but they are really nice, and go together pretty easily. Just have a drill bit handy as none of my holes were 100% lined up.

Not stackable, not foldable, comfort is fine for what it is, but it's no la-z-boy

The benefit is durability and weatherability
