My wife talked me out of buying this toy.
The lattego system is probably the easiest to use auto-dispensing milk system for superautomatics. Just 2 pieces, easy to clean and add milk.

I just bought my wife a Bambino plus. I had been waiting on a deal like this but of course it would pop out now AFTER I got the Bambino. Any opinions what's better?

Anyone know how this compares to the Breville Touch?

Philips Superautos are very easy to use. Had one, but my water was too hard and it eventually broke. Need to remember to use filtered water. I will probably buy another one for my parents though. Quality off the coffee is subpar compared to the Bambino.

You will not find a better value for money than the Bambino. It can do Dark to Medium roasts extremely well, and see no reason to upgrade. If you want to upgrade your setup later on, it is better to spend your money on the grinder than the espresso machine.

Breville Touch is a semi-automatic, you still have to tamp the coffee, use the milk frother manually. This philips is a superautomatic. Just press a button and your espresso or latte will come out in a couple seconds. Just look at instructions for dialing in the machine (need to go through a bag of coffee) to dial in the setting to your liking.

Yes regular coffee beans. They recommend non-oily beans so that it doesn't jam the grinder, a lot of people recommend Lavazza Supercrema for espresso drinks. There is also a separate hopper if you have pre-ground beans for decaf etc.

I had Breville Barista Express and now the Phillips 4300 (step up from this model). While Breville makes great coffee that can be customized to your liking, I just couldn't deal with constant clean up after each use. Philips does require to clean the cartridge once a week, but I will take that anytime over customized shot on Breville. Convenience wins for me. Pretty happy with Philips for over a year now.

I have the Bambino Plus, I purchased it from Best Buy. It was great in the beginning since I was coming from regular drip coffee and wanted something now refined and robust. But man, after 2 yrs I was so over it. I guess I got lazy.

It's definitely an art to make tamp and brew espresso. I was just so over it. I wanted convenience, especially at 5am. I started loathing the Bambino. I would use a grinder then weigh out the espresso, tamp it just right then before I would brew it I would either have to run a blind shot or warm up my cup since the brewed espresso only comes out lukewarm without preparing my cup to a warmer temperature. Finally, I had it!

I got this amazing Phillips 2 months ago and it's fabulous! I use my Zero filtered water and empty out the tray when altered and that's basically it. I load the coffee beans on the top and it does everything. The only thing I wish it would do is brew the latte or cappuccino with 2 shots instead of 1. But that's not too inconvenient. I just brew an extra shot once it's done with the selection I've made. Easy! I highly recommend this amazing machine!

I boxed up my Bambino and it's in a closet collecting dust until I figure out what I'm going to do with it. Probably donate it to Goodwill.
