Also, the characters are just all so two dimensional. In past games the good characters have flaws, and even the mean characters have redeeming qualities that a human being can empathize with. The step dad cares about his family, even if he's bad at showing it; the rich jock troublemaker has a shitty home life and is acting out to get attention. LiS2 they're all just so one dimensional. The bad guy in one episode even wears a red hat while he screams at a Mexican kid to get out of his country and hits him. It's just so on the nose.
TL;DR: The main characters are hard to identify with, and the game lacks nuance for the supporting characters.
For $6, you could waste your money on worse things, but I'd just watch a walkthrough for this.
The only part I liked was in the forest in episode 2 since your choices affect the gameplay/relationships with people and the fact that there are multiple endings to the game. The entire rest of the game seems forced with characters way overreacting or seemingly completely forgetting past choices you have made. I would honestly skip this one unless you have literally nothing better to do.
I wish the new one coming out didn't require next gen, I didn't upgrade from XB1 yet.
