It says right on Winix's product page that the C610 has two sensors. One is for VOCs and the other measures particulate matter, which even gets recorded by the app.
If you're going to be so confident, bring sources.

Which one you buy should be based on replacement filter price and if filters are readily available.

How long as this been out? Wonder how the generic filters are (if any)?
edit: looks like it may be a (new) Costco-only item, at least for a while, Oldest review is only 25 days. There don't seem to be any generic filters and the only place to get filters is urlhasbeenblocked. No reviews anywhere other than the few Costco.com. No product tests or Wirecutter (etc) mentions or anything that I can find. I'm a little doubtful the "combo filter" is really going be effective (at least the carbon part for odors) for a full year between changes. I realize I can take it back to Costco if it doesn't perform, but like to I'd avoid that if I can.
So I think I'm gonna wait until it's been out a while and hopefully it'll become available at other vendors (and maybe even a wirecutter review or something will pop up. I'd really love to see what the real-world bearing noise and filter life-span experience after a year is all about before I thinking about replacing our filter fleet.
