Decent deal for people who want unlimited. Before it was 6 months free of any plan you chose, I guess they want to steer people toward the more expensive plan now. So basically same as the previous deal if you wanted unlimited, but more expensive if you wanted a lower plan.

They've also changed the "6 months free" to now just be 50% off the 12 month plan. Not sure how that will work if you don't port in a number, in the past you just wouldn't get the 6 free months. But it makes sense to buy a google voice or numberbarn number to ensure you get the full 12 months regardless.

Existing users can buy the phone only for $399.

As always, new users make sure to use a referral link to get $15 in renewal credit toward your second year.

Phone is locked to Mint for 60 days.

The Pixel is pretty much how Android was intended to be, not all bloated and f'd up like what Samsung does to the OS. For that reason, I would never buy a Samsung!

Yes but you'll need to move your plan over to this phone. Since the old phone should either be unlocked by now, or eligible, you can use that one for another plan or carrier. Should even be able to duplicate all your settings and data over pretty easily.

Just move the sim and wait 60 days or do I need to give them a call? previous phone unlocked around 58 days after original plan was activated.

To be safe and truly "activate" the new phone, I'd just get a new eSIM for it, which will disable your old SIM. Then after 60 ish days it should unlock like your other one.

Moving the physical SIM may very well work, not positive though. Even if it doesn't you could call or chat after 60 days and get it unlocked.
