Just a heads up - they've been at this price once before, then sold out and went back up in price. This would be a higher-tier Chromebook if you really like ChromeOS - typical ThinkPad build quality. RAM is soldered - but 16GB is plenty for ChromeOS. We still use a Pixelbook Go w/ a 8th gen Core i5 and 16GB of RAM and it's still more than sufficient, so I am positive this would do great.

ThinkPad name is really the reason. This is probably not even on the level of the P/T or X series that are actually known for their durability. Not sure how the Chromebook/C series ranks in terms of durability. I don't see how this is a good deal.

Where are you seeing refurbished at? eBay is marked New and the Lenovo Outlet link doesnt even go to Lenovo Outlet but to Lenovo's main site.

Don't even bother. Terrible QC with Lenovo. These aren't your Thinkpads from IBM era. I wonder if these are just shill deals. I got one of these refurb devices and it makes a horrible coil whine noise. You're playing Russian Roulette with these laptops.
