Also, anyone who wants to buy a blues jr amp, check your local used gear shops, fb, craigslist etc. there are sooo many variations of this amp that are all labeled Special Edition but the electronics are the exact same (modified circuit statement is for the entire range) on all of them. Buy the cheapest you can find and put any speaker you want to save some $. Used eminence speakers are very cheap as well. Just my opinion. I know some people like to buy new shiny gear and not used and that's completely fine as well. But these will definitely go lower than $630 around black friday. And you get 8% back through MF membership so basically save the tax.
The new Blues Junior will come with a 2 year warranty, and, really that's worth something compared to a used model that might be closer to having problems. The Blues Junior is pretty well known for being a bit on the disposable side: more expensive to repair than people would want to pay for an amp at this price point. (See Psionic Audio's videos on YouTube, for example. He claims he won't take them in for repair except for established customers now. Once people hear the estimates after paying the bench fee, they don't want to do it.)
In reality, the OP deal is a pretty good deal on a brand new Blues Junior. Give him some thumbs up already.

The discount was site wide if you have a login created. And I got 8% back as rewards. Which was $48. So about 550 OTD brand new shipped.
Guess what combo I think is actually better; when it's on sale at $200?

Advocating for buying everything and selling off all the loser (Investments LOL) is certainly a choice you have the right to make. LOL. With the hatred of many 'collectors' here; I still exercise my right to say don't.
And any shill who loves taking advantage of impulse buyers who thinks better gear makes them a better player, or may only want better gear than anyone else, instead of practicing then will not fail to get their, "logic", handed to them; from me, and many others. So good luck.
Here's a fine example of what paying a lot more for *SOME* popular, famous name amp models can buy you:

"Components - everything except iron and tubes nowadays is made in China or Taiwan, even the components techs put into most amp repairs (unless the customer makes a big stink about some magical caps or NOS resistors or whatever). In general passives are more reliable now than the ones used in vintage amps. On this guy there are some SMT components, but nothing that requires any special equipment. The front panel hardware is probably sub par, but easily replaceable with better alternatives if necessary. Same with the transformers. Filter caps, no idea, but just cross that bridge when you get there. All metal film resistors is a plus. Not bad overall.
Construction - pretty much like other modern, simple PCB amps. Board mounted power tube sockets is a strike against, not great to put hot shit on the board like that. But otherwise looks neatly done with removable connectors in many places. 2 sided PCB so no pain in the ass board removal to get to most things. No idea about whether the routing/grounding is sloppy or not, but there are ways to rectify that. Not hard to work on or modify.
It's quite a good deal for the price, even if you have to pay a tech more than the cost of amp to redo certain things - there are amps that are two to three times that price from reputable brands (but made overseas) that cut a lot of corners and still need a fair amount of work."
Plus, those complaining I always say Cube Baby, Cube Baby, Cube Baby multi pedal for $35, to go with any amp (or low vol room practice from the headphone jack), then tell me a slicker way to maximize other major amp styles, than even a flexible combo purchased (the dominate style you picked), can do? Physical mods? I don't think so. You don't have to mod; with the Cube Baby. Just turn it ON. Great for when you bought a British style and want to play a classic Fender instead (not the BJ) and better MATCH it. Undetectable by expert ears. Or the other way, get more chug and even creamy fuzz! But you have the right to through thousands into other do-all amps sets, if you wish. Excuse me me for telling SICKDEALS how to keep everything, from practice to live, and stage (the amp and gear set, for your guitar) well under $250, without going dinky and paying more for pieces in the long run. I think that might even get more people into practicing and enjoying playing a guitar. Not just being gear heads. Challenge yourself! And if you're like me(a gear head apparently); and can buy any gear set you see (and without any other persons permission); that does not mean you should. I contend; that, "beating the system", like this is not only great for new band budgets; but motivating. And why, if you're sitting there looking at a couple grand+ worth of equipment and bored with it next month, because now you feel forced to use them then you should have gotten in light, anyway.
You are of course welcome to have you're own "plan". Just as I will explain (search slick-deals) a few ways to get all the benefits, from old school and also mixed (sometimes) with new gear, for far less. While considering many flexible use cases and varying preferences. Like longevity, redundancy, and future developments; that has not even been mentioned. To mention just a few.
