Owned this for 4 years and finally upgraded to a dual boiler + Niche Zero. If you're in for long term, my 2 cents, get the Bambino + a better grinder (DF64/Niche etc), as you'll learn this built-in grinder sucks, brewing is awesome though.
I agree with the poor grinder. I used this machine with a baratza sette 270 and it was next level espresso.

In the end, BBE was taking up too much space on the countertop, so I replaced it with a gaggia classic pro and added PID.

2.5 years later, I'm still happy with GCP.
Struggled with this for years. Older machine likely with the old temp settings. Never got around to hacking mine but once in every 10 shots would i get a palatable espresso.
Tried all the gizmos - wdt, bottomless, better tamp, fresh beans etc. I think the grinder is the weak link here and I just got frustrated and put mine away and collecting dust. A shame bc most have good success with it. If I ever get back into it ill get a bambino plus and a better grinder someday but im back to my nespresso(yuk) and aeropress.
