The long reach jack is physically bigger all around.

The body of $144 jack is 31.5" long, the handle is 50", lift range of 3.5" to 24.5" High and weighs 103 lbs.
The body of $108 jack is 27" long, the handle is 45", lift range of 3.25 to 20" High and it weighs 79 lbs.

Difference between Long reach and 3T low-pro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L...sZ10&t=34s

This is just one of many WRX Jacking videos where they're lifting it with a "regular" 3 Ton Low profile jack. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D...Ukw&t=194s

Never trust a jack to support the car. You use the jack to lift the car to install a jack stand that will safely support the car. You can leave the jack there but the weight should be on the jack stand(s). Jack stands are sold in pairs and the weight rating is for the pair. So a 3 ton jack stand pair can support 1.5 in each stand. Buy proper wheel chocks to block the wheels that will remain on the ground front and back and only work on a level surface preferably concrete. If you are working on asphalt on a hot day jack stands could sink into the asphalt and shift. If you are lifting at the pinch weld purchase an aluminum pinch weld adapter. When the hydrolics in a jack fail it can drop immediately. Never get under a car only supported by a jack or work on an incline.

tell me you don't know what you're talking about without telling me. Daytona jacks are highly reviewed and used by mechanic shops all over.

I own the super duty (overkill for my car) and it's phenomenally smooth. Gone are the days of dealing with a tiny little Jack that needed to be at full extension in order to change a tire. This thing is solid as hell, and should carry me into the days of owning larger family vehicles like trucks and SUVs. Phenomenal product for the price especially at this discount (I only got 10% off when I got it). 40% is unreal. Daytona in the heavier variants are compatible to more expensive brands. Watch Project Farm on YouTube for his tests. Extremely hard to beat for the normal price; impossible to beat for 40% off.

Agree on the Super Duty being an excellent price/buy. Bought on April 12 at $239 and thought that was good. Still have it in the box due to a move...man I should have waited.

I've got a WRX and looking for something to replace my current jack... its reach makes jacking up the car next to impossible.

It looks like a quite a price difference between the 3-ton "Long Reach", "Super Duty", and the normal "Low Profile" options. And, it also looks like the Long Reach only adds 5" to the handle.

Do any of you have enough experience with these models to dissuade/persuade me into any of the options?

I do not own this jack currently but I have been eyeing a deal for one for a while (although it won't serve me too well now that I don't have a solid driveway to work on) but the difference between the low profile long reach and a normal jack was the difference between being able to lift my lowered 2003 mustang in the center vs having to jack up one side at a time. With most jacks I could only get to a control arm at a weird angle vs this one (by measurement) being able to go under the front bumper/splitter and reach a center jack point.

The 1.5 Ton Aluminun racing Jack will be $81 tomorrow. https://www.harborfreight.com/aut...58206.html
Good deal, the only question can this last longer more than few tire rotations. Similar Jack from HF failed after short period of time .

there is an asterisk under the 40% off, that mean only certain models will be on sale?

Would any of these be ok for lifting a vehicle with a gross weight of around 7500 pounds?
Your just lifting one side at a time not the whole vehicle, a 3 ton would be perfect.

3 tons is excessive. He can get away with a 2 ton jack

Also, a suggestion as an upgrade is the one piece, extra long handle. I've found it be very useful.

Thanks OP, I'm definitely in for one, maybe 2!!! Hopefully the cross bar will also be on sale, need it for the Corvette.

I just bought a Costco aluminum jack & it's got a notchy twist to it, so it's going back & my old Costco jack has been as since day one so it's going too.

Safer to over do it than watch it fail on someone. Like their dumb recall of jack stands?
