This knife is surprisingly great. I used it a couple months ago to pry up vinyl floor tiles with a mallet (very effective), then to scrape up residual flooring adhesive, and then as a chisel to cut away part of a 2x4.

This knife is thick and held up so well I bought two more.

Maybe that's because this product is available at Walmart everyday for $3.78.

What you want in a painters tool is one that has a metal butt end so you can tap it with a hammer if needed, and if you do a lot of work you will need to. Look at that listing and you'll see the more expensive ones have metal butt ends. I'd spend twice as much to have that feature... if I were anyone interested in this.

$3.24 at walmart too.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/ALLWAY...pe=REGULAR

BTW, Walmart is claiming a $18 discount and that does not appear to be right.

Not a good tool. If you're gonna buy a "painters tool" get one with the metal butt and a comb to clean brushes at least.

How is a comb gonna clean brushes? The comes I've seen have pretty big teeth. I usually use a brass brush to get of the dried on paint while washing.
