This is directors cut… Richard Donner was the director, and famous back in the 70s and 80s.
Saves everyone having to Google it.
The theatrical is better (we'll NEVER see Donners FINISHED two movies as he intended). Too bad they had to mess Donner over. It would have been cool to see his actual two movies and not gotten the jumbled mess we got. It's a miracle the 2 movies came out as good as they did.
Does anyone get digital credits any more? I haven't been offered them in ages.
I've gotten a few the past couple of weeks. I've noticed I have only been offered them when ordering more than one item…unless that's how it always was. Definitely seems hit or miss now

You have to order at least two items, but one has to be in stock for the no rush credits to show up. I get them all the time. You can add some "pre-order items" too like Transformers One 4k disc and that will count towards the total for additional credits, but many preorder items will not work. Not sure how amazon determines what is an eligibile item or not. You will get the credits as soon as the in-stock item ships.
They offer no rush credits for single items usually during prime day or around black friday when they expect high volume of orders.
I do not use any amazon credit card.

Superman II Donner Cut is pure trash. The theater release was far superior in almost every way, which is sad as I'm a Donner and Director's Cut fan. I mean, the ending was the exact same as Superman 1, he reverses time again. WTF?

I almost never do anymore , instead they offer me 6% back on my Amazon Visa rather than the standard 5% back. It sucks because I would generally just rather have credits offered then an extra 1% back , unless it's a really big purchase. Seems like it's been doing this about a year for me.
I feel like if I didn't have the prime Visa I would get digital credits offered way more. It's too bad because I've managed to build an almost 100 movie amazon collection , about 80% of it bought with no-rush credits.

Superman II is one of a few sequels that were better than the first film... I haven't seen the Donner cut all the way through but it did look kinda lame compared to the theatrical version which is rare but does happen...

Totally agree, glad they got rid of his version. Absolute trash, not worth the time let alone the $5.

Apparently, per Donner, only 2 was supposed to have ended that way, both were filmed at the same time, had he been allowed to make 2, 1 would have been given a different ending, so the time thing actually "belongs" at the end of 2. Whether one likes it there or not is opinion, but it's not like they "copied" 1

That's interesting, but after 1 was released with it maybe change the plans for 2?
I only get 6% back on the Prime visa card for slow shipping.

I find that switching to a different card, the no-rush credit pops up. I have another card I get more than 5% CB on that I use instead.
