Looks like a wire stripper to me or at least it looks like the one I own. Still a good deal on a wire stripper.

It is both, crimping is in center indentations...

The description says crimper, yet it sure looks like it's also a wire stripper...

This is an auto adjusting wire stripper; similar to this Irwin [amazon.com] that I own but misplaced. Most if not all auto adjusting wire strippers have crimpers built into their back handles so I guess calling the Dorman a crimper is technically correct but IMO wirestripping is its primary function.

Although not as nice as the Irwin; Ill guess I will pick up this cheap Dorman until the Irwin appears back from the Lost Tools Dimension; thanks OP.

This is so funny to me because I lost mine too and I am super careful about tool organization. Good luck to both of us.

I've got the Irwin version and I really like it. However, I've recently got a nice pair of kleins that is so easy to strip with that I haven't used the Irwin auto in a while.

For the auto stripper, sometimes I find that I need to angle the remainder of the wire 90 deg pointing straight out from the tool if it's not catching and cutting in one go. Usually happens when the wire has that clear coat covering the insulation.

Don't squeeze slowly with these. Fast, like you're in a hurry, for best results.
