This promotion (50% off) used to be a good deal, but their normal prices are so high that the 1-topping large is now more than $8 (the usual carryout deal) with this coupon. When you combine with the 25% discount via gift cards, then you're getting a pretty good deal, but $100 is a lot to commit to Dominos if you're not ordering for a big event.
This. 50% off isn't a deal for 1 topping pizzas. The deal is getting specialty pizzas or pizzas with a lot of toppings. It's a good way to try the specialty pizzas at half the price. I still need to try the Cali Bacon Ranch specialty and the Wisconsin 6-cheese.
For example an X-Large Extravaganzza at my local Domino's in California (prices went up when min wage went up) is $25.99 for 10 toppings (which can be swapped out for the same price) with the coupon will make it $13. If you buy a discounted GC it can drop to $10.XX that XL will easily feed 4 people.

Sam's has the same offer on Dominoe's giftcards, just an fyi. And it counts toward the $50 threshold you now need to hit to get free shipping at Sam's. It's useful to know in case you're trying to buy a few other things that come to under $50. Since we buy these giftcards periodically anyway, I now make sure to wait to order them until I have other things I wanted shipped, too.

When I see Domino's deals, I click. Too bad we haven't seen any recent Domino gift card deals outside the Costco deal. I am not a Costco customer. The Domino gift card deals definitely slowed down. When so many fast food restaurants jack up their prices and shrink their foods, Domino's still treat their customers right.

It may be just my experience, but I do feel like Domino's pizzas have somehow gotten smaller or lighter. Just don't feel the same when I go get the same large. Very subjective admittedly

Sam's Club has the same deal (at least as of last week). It's $15 for the first year at Sam's Club.

My local Domino's always treats me right and make my pies stacked. Maybe it helps because they see me somewhat regularly (weekly or bi-weekly). I eat 2 slices (3-7 toppings) with a homemade salad and that is filling for me as a meal.
Note that for me at least (Colorado) the $8 large 1 topping carryout is still a better deal. When this deal rolls around, I usually order the Brooklyn style pizza.

Everything is smaller nowadays. It's not just Dominos.
