Does anyone have experience with open box sales for monitors through Woot?

It seems like you're losing out on the good Dell exchange policy for monitors, as well as gambling that some Amazon employee decided a returned monitor was actually fine.

If you get a dead pixel, I'm not sure what the recourse is.

I don't know the answers… but I had good luck with the last batch.. no dead pixels

Only issue I see is with dell software and sequoia Mac OS… kvm option broken in software and no idea when will be fixed

Both monitors were manufactured this years date and had basic warranty life, extended warranty looks like not option without calling dell to get them to remove serial number from last persons account to yours, have not dabbled in that as it says I need to call them to see options

What's special about this monitor? Seems kinda average price for a 27" 4K IPS monitor for $300.

It is Dell's U Series, which is known for its photo editing and similar tasks. It is what I use. If you have those type of requirements, it is great. It is not, however, designed with gaming in mind for example.

It has a KVM switch and USB hub including a USB-C port that supports 90W power delivery & DP Alt mode...that allows you to connect a laptop to the monitor via a single USB-C cable...not every monitor can do that.

I had Dell's Ultrafine display before but that still doesn't make it special anymore these days. A lot of monitors these days have P3, Adobe RGB, sRGB in the 90-100% and power delivery thru USB-C.
I do photo editing and I run dual LG 5K display, LG EP950 4K OLED, and HP Z31x reference monitor. The Ultrafine doesn't seem anything special IMO.

Good call checking the warranty. It says mine is good till 1/25/2027. So ~5 months of warranty was used it before I got mine from Woot. No problems with it whatsoever.

The LG monitors you mention are over 3X the price of this Dell. Obviously, the Dell is not going to be "anything special" compared to those. Similarly, it's nothing special compared to an Eizo or Benq SW series.

However, you'll struggle to find a better monitor for photo editing for around $300.

Got mine in. Box was beaten up but the monitor is in good condition. No immediately noticeable scratches or dead pixels but something is rattling around inside which is probably why it was open-box.
