Didn't charge me shipping (I'm a member) for just ordering the batteries. Thanks for the deal.

How does Kirkland brand compare with this?

Also, I wish they would do a half AA and half AAA package. I very rarely need this many of a single type at once.

I've had terrible luck with Kirkland batteries over the years, with almost all ending up leaking within 24-36 months.

The duracell batteries may also leak - definitely not as often, but in long-term use devices like keyboards. With that said, Duracell stands behind their batteries and if you submit a claim via they're website, they'll mail you a check for the damaged item after you send in some pictures as proof of the leaking batteries.

They've paid me out for a $200 item and a $400 item in the past -- while ideally the batteries would NOT leak, the fact they've stood behind them has made me only use them
(I've had dozens of devices that did not leak with duracell also)

Just buy rechargables. It's irresponsible and a waste of money to buy disposable batteries

Disposable batteries are required for certain devices, for example smart locks explicitly say they won't work with rechargeable.

True but rechargeable are not ideal for devices that are not used often because the charge drains if unused

I have a gameboy color that is in my non-temperature controlled garage for the last 3 years now. It has a pair of Duracells that are dated good until 2009. I flip the switch, it powers right up. I haven't attempted to play it, but now and then I flip it on to see if they are still trucking. 15 years after expiry and they still fire that gameboy color right up, I'm impressed.
