So not any working camera gets a value as I found out. My G9 gets a pathetic $235 trade-in value
I wonder if the 12-60mm is worth the $400. I have the kit lens 12-60 from my G85, but it's not as fast as this fancy one.

Btw, to the guy saying "too bad it's not an S5ii", please realize you're paying $1100 for the G9ii vs $2100 for the S5ii. The image stabilization in the G9ii is better than the S5ii and the lenses for M43 are cheaper than full frame. Also, the overall system will be lighter to carry for photographers.

That's not to say, of course, that the full frame camera doesn't have its advantages too, but I'd wait for the S2H if I was considering the S5ii.

For anyone worried about low light performance on new M43 cameras like this G9ii, I think it's almost silly at this point to worry. Watch this video. The low light performance on a daytime lens is great! If you get a lens with F1.7 or F1.4, it should look amazing, even at higher ISOs.

The promo is a bit misleading. The $200 is off of the MSRP, but before the promo it was already $200 off. So really, $200 is just a gimmick. It's an instant discount on the camera once you add it in the cart. The $600 is the promo once you received the code from your trade-in submission. If your trade-in is worth anything, you can send it in to receive an additional discount. The CS I chatted with said stated the trade-in is separate from the promo even though you need to do the trade-in to receive the code. The trade-in is handled by their used department, like a normal trade in process.

I just literally request a PM from BHP to ABs and got rejected. This deal just came in! Ty, ty, ty Smilie

It states "Any working digital/film camera." Maybe best not to trade in my G9 and maybe get a cheap camera to trade in. Anyone can chime in?

If I'm reading this correctly BH sends you the code when you submit a quote, is the code not active until the trade in is complete or can you just use the code and just not send in your device?

Just went through the process. You get both the 600 + 200 when you do the trade-in. You have to use the link in the email quote as it has the promo code and your trade-in value. IF your trade-in value is worth anything it'll count towards the discounted price of 1097.99. So really, it's 600 + 200 + Trade-in. My trade-in was zero for a working cheap camera.

If you checkout with trade-in you'll have to send the camera in. That goes to their use department for final evaluation. Hope this helps.

Edit: With payboo card + GC 375, my total came out to $757 without trade-in. I'm happy.

I think i missed something here. How can you get the $1097.99 price without trade in?

You can make up a trade-in and you'll still receive a promo code, approximately within 10 minutes once you fill out the form for this deal.

Unlike, say, Samsung, BH gives you the promo code before they receive your trade-in.

I have seen multiple comments on other sites stating they never sent their trade-in item(s), but no one followed up. I'm sending a beat up Canon dSLR that's barely worth anything because I'm not trying to get hit back with a $600 reversal.

Only good if you have micro 4/3 lenses already. I would not invest into this system. The S5 II is way better.
No it isn't. The S5ii is better in 1 situation, low light. The GH7 and G9ii are better for almost everything else. Also, the S5ii is $1000 more expensive.

It is $235 (or other) PLUS $600. So if we send out any camera and get, let's say, $5, it is a steal a deal (it will be $605 off then).
