I have an LG C1 that I bought 4 or 5 years ago. I paid around $1350 for it. The price stays the same, the model number just goes up.
The only difference is that $1350 5 years ago is worth $1650-$1700 in today's money-printing society. Granted there are incremental changes in the 4 generations but prob not enough to support an upgrade. TV tech has no real breakthrough (like cell phones) so each year they dribble a few new things to support a new model year. This isn't unique to just LG.

The 65" B4 for $1050 is a better deal, IMO. $300 more for a bit of brightness in HDR and a marginally different processor is a hard sell.

Honestly, how much do you guys think the 65" C4 will go between Prime sales and Black Friday-Cyber Monday? I'm tempted to pull the trigger on this now with the shipping strike kicking off for who knows how long on the east coast where I live.
Also, does anyone have any feedback on the LG Premium Care warranty from Asurion and what exactly it covers? Their site talked about 3d glasses and 3d TVs so it feels pretty outdated. I'm particularly concerned with what they consider normal wear and tear (if they put an hour limit on it) and if they cover burn-in. Especially if I'd have to ship the panel back to LG rather than take it to a local store and exchange it.
I've had my entire led panel and glass replaced by a technician sent to my house after cracking the glass and the screen going black permanently. I called, they said they would have someone out in 2 days and see what the problem was if it would be fixed under warranty. This is three years after having the 65c1. And 3 years after that, we still use it every day and it looks like it did the day we bought it. Bought a second one last year, the 65c3, and can't imagine having a better TV for the money. They keep getting cheaper, and always running the best chip available. I'll be looking for a CM deal on the 83".

As far as soundbars go, i have last years flagship lg model in the bedroom which sounds great, but anything less than their top models would be doing the TV a disservice. I have a full 7.1.4 setup in a room dedicated to computer/media use and it is absolutely perfect. You get what you pay for, but this TV is a joy to watch under any circumstance.

So for $150 less you lose the $600 soundbar ?
The soundbar is probably only worth $100.

I bought an LG tv back when 3d came out and the LG model was touted as the latest and greatest. I used it in a home theater which was rarely used for 3 years and the picture died. Have bought many tvs since the 80s and never had such a poor experience. Still have the tv and hope to repair it someday when I have the time. Too many hoops to jump through for me in this deal for me for a brand that I have not had a positive experience with.

What is the aversion to Samsung tvs? I have a 58" Samsung from 2008 that still looks amazing although it is not 4k.

imagine using an LG soundbar in 2024

yikes
I have a Vizio VSB200 soundbar that I bought for my kids playroom back in 2008 that had been stored for the last 10 years. I set up a secondary computer and tv with an old Apple tv and separate dac. Connected the Vizio soundbar to both running through the dac along with the Yamaha YST-SW012 8" subwoofer that went with the soundbar for near field use and man it is hard to believe how great it sounds in that set up. I have full crazy Atmos etc. receivers with multiple crazy SVS and RSL subs in other systems but find myself using the throw away soundbar set up more often. Too bad most modern soundbars no longer have wired subwoofer outputs.
