Just make sure you understand the speakers (except the sub) are not powered. That means you'll need a receiver to use the system which will be 2-4x the cost of just these speakers. If you already have a receiver you probably already have better speakers.

Does anyone have these? Curious of how they sound for a secondary setup. The price is definitely right.

Does something like Douk Audio ST-01 PRO 200W Bluetooth Amplifier work?

I also have my old Logitech Z-5500. Should I just use that or get this?

I had these speakers for...10 years I think. They've been around seemingly forever. Back then they didn't come with a sub so I added my own (sony 10 in). That said, they sound great. Very efficient and clean sound from these little guys. The speakers are very dense/heavy for their size so they don't feel cheap.

Here's an older review of just the speakers themselves: https://www.digitaltrends.com/hom...et-review/

Recently I gave them and my old onkyo receiver to my friends college-aged son to make room for a samsung sound bar with surround rears, Q930. The wife was tired of the speaker wire running across the floor to the rears and my receiver was dying a slow death.

That said, fwiw, I don't miss them or my receiver. The sammy soundbar is impressive, with the center channel far clearer than what I ever got from my klipsch center. I don't regret buying the klipsch speakers. But with today's audio technology, I don't know if I would buy them again.

You can use these satellites, and it would be a huge step up from your current Z-5500 satellites. I did this with my Z906.

These are excellent speakers. They sound way better than their price. There are tons of YouTube videos on them as these were a common Costco set. I've been running them hard for 4+ years on a Yamaha TSR-700.

So there won't work if plugged in to a TV or turntable? Their only use (without a receiver) is to be plugged into a computer?

I added an identical sub and two identical surround speakers, making it a 7.2 system. I used it in my master bedroom with a 7.2 channel Denon receiver for many years. It sounded superb imo. I recently replaced that system with a Samsung Atmos soundbar system that includes rear Atmos surround speakers. I think the Klipsch system sounded a little better, but there is now a lot less stuff cluttering up the bedroom.
