The 3s is a budget version of the 3. From my understanding, it seems the 3S has the processing power of the 3 so you still get the exclusive games like the new Batman, but it has the display of the 2.

Quest 3s has the same optics (fresnel lens) like the Quest 2 but internal processing of the Quest 3. The Quest 3 has the better optics (pancake lenses). The Quest 3S has lower visuals, at a resolution of 1832 x 1920 pixels, and a pixel density of 773 (PPI, pixels-per-inch). The more expensive Quest 3 sports a resolution of 2064 x 2208, and a higher pixel density of 1218 PPI.

Correct. I have both the 2 and the 3, and I can tell you that the resolution and improved lenses are what I mainly notice as the differences between the two. The individual pixels are very visible with the lower resolution.

I ordered the 3 and 3S. Will compare both and return one. I tried the 2 and didnt like the lens and low res it had

They're discontinuing the 128GB Quest 3 and just selling the 512GB for the same price. So they'll be trying to clear these out. I'd wait for a lower price.
