Bilt Rewards is giving members (free to join) 3-month Hilton Honors Gold Status for free. You must also be a Hilton Honors [hilton.com] member (also free to join) to activate this offer. To keep the Gold Status through March 31, 2026, just stay 8 qualifying nights (by booking directly with Hilton Hotels) by December 31, 2024.

I was a Hilton member previously, signed up on the first as well, still no gold status..
Still no Gold today for me !
There is not much hope left...
We probably did not forget anything, they just did not want to give the Gold status for "nothing" (I imagine that applying for Bilt Mastercard would have changed the result!)
