Mind you, this is 720p, so not even 1080p/FHD. You can get a 40" FHD or 4K for $100 during the many sales events throughout the year.

because that's the odd size for a TV. and usually only Sony had some of those weird sizes.

I told you it was a budget brand. But, since you asked, Samsung and Vizio both have 40" TVs. Even LG used to have them, and you could probably still find them for sale.

Is the Fire TV interface on these slugish? Looking for a 32" for my parents bedroom. I'm thinking the ROKU interface may be easier for them to handle but they will probably mostly just use this for watching content from Dish with thier Joey box.
