Yes. Looks nicer (integrated setup rather than underseat addon), works well, much more trustworthy that it won't leak and ruin your floor, and it has ladies mode as well as the butt spray.

The sprayers also tuck out of the way and have a bit of self clean function as you turn the dial. The cheap addon ones usually expose the spray heads where they can get dirty, collect pee, and need cleaning.

Don't get me wrong, I've owned 3 of the under-seat style ones and recommended them to many people...but these are better.

The only downside is that you will start not wanting to poop anywhere but home!

I've owned many bidets. You want a bidet like this that drains into the bowl. The issue with nozzle bidets is they inevitably leak. You often use the bidet in the middle of the night when you are sleepy and dark and there's a likelihood of flooding your bathroom. With this model , it will harmlessly drain into the bowl.

Don't mess around with DIY water supplies. You can easily do $20k worth of damage to your house.

If this is your first go at a bidet I highly recommend something with temp control. Although on the plus side, a cold spray to the rear in the morning wakes you up faster than coffee.
I bought a cheap one from a deal here.

It was like a cold power washer spray.

It made me mad more than awake.

My kohler with warm water spray is soo much more appreciated.

I refuse to wipe with anything but the finest French papier toilettes.
I have Hermes make my personal loo roll. The paper itself is handmade washi from Japan. A French lady then hand scores it and rolls it up in Paris. Even Bernard myself doesn't have access to these uber elite loo rolls.

I installed 3 of these.. one of them had knob issue - became hard to rotate and eventually the knob broke. Brondell charged me $18 including shipping. I notice sometime family members/guests don't align the knob to the stop mark and water drips. I prefer the ones that has buttons and have separate knob for pressure.

I am a bit lost on the TP panic buy currently... What is driving this madness? raw material shortage? Ports strike? FYI, ports strike really doesn't affect the TP at least I read they are routing through the west coast then railways...
It's due to stupidity. Nothing more.

So, it's just aesthetically better? You can easily clean the spray heads on the cheap ones. Mine has a self clean mode but it's just spraying water through the spout down into the bowl, doesn't really do too much

I'm looking for one that can adjust for you without you having to twerk to get it to spray the right spot
I used to have a Tushy branded bidet. No relation to the Tushy porn channel, though some people might find a similarity.

Anyway. It had a level that you could move the spray up and down to spray different areas of your butt.
That one broke. This one is much better quality, but the spray goes all over the place and I have to wipe dry much more than with the Tushy one.

This one also includes a side button that you can push and pull the whole toilet seat off. Makes it easier to clean the toilet.

Can confirm, after switching to bidet's, swampy butt is gone. No more smelly poop or smears left on butt.

If you have infants it's same for them when you clean up after them. Don't want a smelly butt. I used a spray bottle to clean them up so they wouldn't have red butt cheeks.

Good point, I'll be tucking one of these cheap water leak detectors behind the toilet - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QSFRSJX

Maybe the best purchase I've made for my home over the last several years because of Covid TB shortage was to buy a bidet (Not this particular one) but the family goes threw 1/10th the TB and obviously are cleaner using a bidet over just TP !

We change toilet sets every year to maintain the look. The $20 bidet stays.

I've had this for a little over a year. I also have a cheap underseat model in a different bathroom. If/when I need another I'll just go with another cheap underseat model.
Pros:
  • Lower profile looks nicer and is more stable than the underseat models.
  • Sturdy. You can definitly sit on it and at 165 lbs I can stand on it without worry.
Cons:
  • Reduces the seat size and makes it less confortable for larger people.
  • Knob is small. It's not obvious which direction is which function.
  • Self cleaning feature is totally unnecessary and sprays a fine mist which totally drenches your undercarriage. This probably depends on your water pressure. I mostly solved it by installing an additional flow restriction in the line.
