I bought a clone from aliexpress for abut $30 and it was okay. Quality control isnt there but it still came out pretty good. The bags were not numbered so I had to split everything myself.

There are plenty of clones out there for various kits. If youre in it to build it I could recommend clones. But if youre collecting then this is a sweet deal.

Just a heads up this set is old school and does not come with numbered bags so be prepared to sort all of the elements first.

Quality of the brick is bad though. Specially the gears. They grind and break easily. The 4 yellow suspension pieces broke in 1 day.

The build was not as enjoyable.

One build that was awesome is the lighthouse. One of the best.

Anyone have experience with the Aliexpress LED lighting kits?

I'm willing to risk a few bucks on one from AE, but not 6-7x that for one from Amazon, for what I don't expect to be 6-7x better in quality, though I guess there might be better hand holding/instructions from the latter.

I built the Technic Audi RS Q eTron this summer. Insanely intricate set that satisfies your love of cars and LEGO. I don't need another one but this is worth buying if you're into these.

I went the cheap route and bought the knockoff on Temu. Built it over the course of 5 evenings, and for a knockoff I'd give it a 9/10. It doesn't "feel" the same though, knowing it's not real LEGO.
